Pacific Sharks 1st Annual Flag Tournament
The Pacific Coast Sharks American Football Club hosted their first-ever Flag Football tournament for kids, in Papamoa on Sunday, 28th September at Gordon Spratt Reserve.
The one-day event featured young athletes from the Bay of Plenty and beyond, competing in Flag Football across three age grades: under 10s, under 12s, and under 16s.
The tournament guaranteed multiple games for each team, with prizes for the divisional winners.
Teams from Waitekere Bandits, Super Mega Ukelele, Rotokawa Titans, and the Pacific Coast Sharks were represented across all the age grades.
The day was a huge success, with some fantastic Flag Football on display that kept the spectators entertained.
Super Mega Ukelele took out the U16's trophy.
Waitekere Bandits took the U12s.
The home team, Pacific Coast Sharks, took out the U10 division.
The event was a great curtain raiser to what should be an awesome upcoming season.
